“ Great place for a quick and budget-friendly Thai meals. During my most recent visit, I got two of their signature dishes: the Hainanese Chicken Thigh Rice and the BBQ Pork Noodles. The Hainanese Chicken Thigh Rice was, in a word, delightful. The chicken was cooked to perfection, being tender and succulent, while the fatty bits melted in the mouth. This dish truly captured the essence of comfort food, and the accompanying ginger sauce was a great pairing – its vibrant flavor profile complemented the subtle richness of the chicken. On the other hand, the BBQ Pork Noodle was good, but didn’t quite hit the same mark. Overall, with its no-frills approach and efficient service, Yaowarat is an ideal stop for both the lunch rush and casual evening meals. ”
“ Finally tried this Thai restaurant, and it exceeded our expectations! It’s been a while since we enjoyed a meal where every dish impressed us. We dined in, and while we were the only ones there, it's clear that takeout is popular. The space is small but cozy, with enough room to feel comfortable. The service was prompt and attentive. We ordered the scallion pancakes, pad see ew, and khao moo tod. The scallion pancakes were incredibly crispy and came with a delicious sweet sauce. Both the noodles and the pork with rice were packed with flavor. The pork dish, our favorite, featured crispy fried pork over rice, with some sausage, hard-boiled eggs, and a refreshing cucumber side. The sweet sauce enhanced the dish perfectly. We enjoyed every bite and highly recommend this place. Can’t wait to return! ”
“ WHAT A HIDDEN GEM! Thai iced tea and Thai iced green tea on point. The braised pork, egg and tofu was satisfying, especially if you are Vietnamese (thit kho trung dau). Siu Mai is handmade/ homemade. Everything tastes fresh. Check this place out if you are Quincy and craving Thai/ Chinese/ Asian food!! ”
“ The best Thai food so far. The taste was authentic with reasonable price/portion. We recommend (we ordered these) Kao Mun Kai, Kao Ka Moo, Beef egg noodles, and Kuay Jub. They were so gooooooooooood. Come try it once. The only downside was that the air condition was a bit warm. We were sweating while eating pur dinner. It is commutable from Boston via the Red Line (45 mins) and about 15 mins via car. ”
“ Got the Khao Moo Deang (13.95) to-go, and it was a tasty, filling meal for a decent price. This dish is very similar to Chinese and Vietnamese BBQ pork dishes, so I wouldn’t say it was unique flavor-wise (get something else if you’re looking for something exclusively Thai), but it satisfied my rice craving. I liked that the rice was like a sticky clay pot rice—chewy but with some crispy bits. The BBQ pork was saucy and tender. They gave me extra soy sauce, but I didn’t need it. ”
“ First time trying Chinese-Thai cuisine and was not disappointed. Great selection of dishes on the menu. The Haianese chicken dish is definitely different from the Chinese version, so keep that in mind as this is more Thai style. I would probably order it with the chicken breast next time though as the thighs had too many tendons. The larb was excellent though and had a good amount of heat. The service is fantastic and the woman there was super sweet and accommodating. We came an hour before closing to grab a quick dinner but not once did we felt rushed. Definitely returning next time I'm in Quincy! ”
“ The restaurant is an absolute delight. Here are the highlights: We started with a couple of soup appetizers, wonton soup and tom yum soup. The wontons, filled with shrimp, packed great flavor without being too fishy, and had generous chunks of bok choy in the broth. As for the Tom Yum soup, it was authentically Thai – a spicy, tangy broth loaded with mushrooms and chicken. The spice level was perfect. For our main dish, we got the Moo Daeng, a Thai BBQ pork dish which was excellent. Combination of sliced BBQ pork and pork sausage, accompanied by a side of rice, a soy egg, crunchy cucumber, soybean paste sauce, and dark soy sauce. The staff was another highlight of our visit. They were friendly, accommodating, and took the time to explain the menu. Their recommendations were spot-on! There was absolutely nothing to fault about Yaowarat Road . Between the incredible food, friendly staff, and reasonable prices, our experience was nothing short of fantastic. I am looking forward to our next visit to explore more of their menu. It's unquestionably a 5-star gem. ”
“ Fantastic street Thai food! A great variety of dishes on the menu; pictures and descriptions included. A true gem where EVERYTHING on the menu looks amazing. One of our favorite thai places in Boston! Street parking, but was plentiful when we went. ”
